It would be fatal for quantum if they try to buy out MKE imo.

I have argued about buying MKE as being inefficient. QNTM obviously knows this. They have remained super efficient and hence have not faced the difficulties of other DD makers, IMO.

Yes, MKE is huge...backed by Matsushita Electric(Panasonic). It could potentially gobble up Quantum. BTW I was disappointed to find that Quantum was a no-show at Comdex...I was looking forward to visiting their booth.
