They are going off the deep end. They are now wanting heresy trials, but presumably not burning at the stake as that would not be compliant with CO2 minimisation. Hansen and co should make an offer to take over the Vatican and convert the theological trappings to Global Doomsterism, Original CO2 Sin, and get the Sistine Chapel repainted to represent the new ideological realm.

They are quite mad. Irrational and foaming at the mouth. Fortunately, Hansen will be dead soon and his noise will stop. Younger more rational minds will be able to consider the facts of life from a fresh, unbiased, newly-arrived point of view, without the power-mad 20th century Seven Sisters emotional trappings of Gore, Hansen and the gang.

But maybe like many religions, this one will gather strength as it enters the mythological realm and accumulation of power leads to even greater mania, not reconsideration of what's rational.

This stream should be called "Politics of Envy" not "Politics of Energy". Envy is the cardinal sin driving the CO2 mania. The other sins are thrown in too, with pretty much all of them manifest at Cancun.
