Spot sounds like a pretty cool product.. Not too big.. not too expensive (unlike a Sat phone) and accomplishes just what I need.. To notify people I'm in trouble and here's where to find me.. Going to investigate it further.. Would love to get an Iridium, but just can't justify the cost of the subscription.. Would prefer to have something that only costs me when I use it.. Btw, was speaking to some pilot friends of mine this evening.. One mentioned that Breitling had once introduced an Aviator's watch with an included EPIRB (good for one use, and then Breitling would replace the watch free of charge).. But it's only good for 48 hours and 100 mile range. Would much rather have a SPOT.. lol breitling.com Hawk
