hmmmm -

GLW w/ 28.5% net profit metric; one of the best "undervalued" GN values and overall one of the best undervalued candidate stocks in the group . . . and it did not even make your cut.
goo.gl

Have you or can you calculate the GN for your candidate stocks... or does it even matter in your valuation? Are you able to rank your expected annual rate of return for each or is that not a consideration?

Very interesting.

I agree on UNP over CSX. UNP is the better franchise, imo - CSX is lower valued by ~15% but i think over the longer run, the better franchise will win.

As for ADM, I agree there may be better picks out there without the short term challenges. Unless somebody else feels strongly about keeping ADM in the race, I am inclined to drop the stock from the list.

I don't have 10 stocks. I like: APA, PH, UNP, JOY, CMI, DIS.

Also like ROC,SPLS, GLW but feel less sure about them, as these 2nd tier stocks have issues, or I feel less sure about their franchise value, even though they look good in terms of metrics. i 'll pass on ADM since I don't think that this is a stock this board is looking for and the near term issues cannot neglected.
