Would you speculate to put a price on the find, or at least on 1 dinar today as an archeological find?

From my general knowledge during those times taking a loan with 10% interest a year was a great bargain. An interest rate of 15% to 24% was more likely, or I read somewhere 1% to 2% per month.

Now calculate that value. <GGG>

BTW, I visited this place several times as it is not far from Tel Aviv, (just north of Herzelia) and just forgot to dig <GGG> assuming that by now everyone already dig whatever was to dig.

Another interesting place is Caesarea where gold pieces where washed on the sea shore and Jaffa Ashkelon and Akko, may have surprises, I bet you every one with a metal detector is now searching. <GGG>
