<<<<<make the election about anything except Obama's performance.>>>>>>

Not me. I think he has done pretty well. Not great, but pretty well.

The economic cliff that Bush passed on to him has been stabilized. The stock market has been doing damn well in a world recession where other countries are stumbling. Banks are functioning - unlike the end of the Bush term. Housing prices have stopped plummeting in value - unlike the end of the Bush term. Inflation is in check. Oil prices aren't a problem. Locally the economy is doing very well. ..........Now is this what I would have done? Absolutely NOT. And I absolutely acknowledge the debt is a huge problem but a problem largely triggered by Bush. Bush took us in to two unfunded wars. Bush cut income taxes on everyone. The housing collapse (and loss of tax revenue) occurred under Bush watch. The increase in size of government - Homeland Security - occurred on Bush watch. The increase in Medicare money problems (drug benefits) occurred under Bush watch. ...........So do I want to go back to the way it was? Nope!
