The leverage per employee appears much better than the competitors and as long as Quantum is not accepting unusual risk in the arrangement by not directly controlling the production, the issue of where the product is made is not important.

Vertical Integration

You are quite correct that vertical integration is the way to go. It is misleading to compare the $ per head ratio of a vertically integrated company with non VI company.
