Harry: your answers:

I have about 30 large cap stocks on this page. These are typically bell weather NASDAQ names like INTC, MSFT,CPQ ,DELL, ORCL, COMS, CSCO, HWP, AMAT, ASND..etc. Istick with NASDAQ names because they always have good volatility, while DOW stocks tend to be pretty boring. This page gives me a good idea of overall market sentiment.

Personally I love Macs, but lets face it - they lost the OS battle. I would move to a PC.

The ideal configuration is really a personal choice. Personally I am trying to minimize the amount of news, info, and computers I watch. I am also trying to maximize portability which may not be a concern for most traders.
