Just because two events occurred (the economy did not go into a full-blown depression and Obama passed the stimulus) does not mean that the stimulus saved the economy. It is the intellectually lazy person's idea of logic, since it is much, much more difficult to compare what was to what could have been." I disagree. We are in a depression now.Remember that it took many years at least until 1934, for the consensus to arrive that we were in a depression. At the time it was happening many did not understand that it wasn't just an ordinary correction, as is the case today. However, we are close to a second leg and then I think the full impact of this economic mess will be understood by most. lj
