Nordgren Fibre Channel Emerging Growth Stock Index
(NFCEGSI)

The FC Composite Index declined 2.12% for the week, underpreforming all major market indexes. The Index is now down 22.80% year to date. However, the Hub & Adapter Group was up over 5% for the week in a divergence with the overall Index. Also of note was the continued decline of Box Hill Systems which is down over 44% from its post IPO high.

Index breadth was positive for the week, with advancers leading decliners 3:2

Advancers: CPCI +0.375, EMLX + 0.0625, INPH +0.625

Decliners: ANCR -0.40625, BXH -1.6875

Unchanged: None

The Composite Index now stands 17.75% below its 50 Day Moving Average.

In his book What Works on Wall Street, James O'Shaughnessy tested a number of investment strategies over the period 1954-1995. One of the best results was from stocks with a Low Price/Sales Ratio and a high Relative Strength. Looks like EMLX might be the best FC example as of right now.
