Olu,

<The point of my post though, is that you can get badly burnt writing naked options (Puts or Calls)>

Olu, in the 87 crash I was really hurt badly with some naked puts that I had sold and did not have the money to buy the stock with when they went through the strike price! I learned my lesson to never sell options naked unless I have the capital to buy the stock in case of naked puts which I seldon sell, or the capital to sell in the case of naked calls! I'm always willing and able to go short if I sell naked calls!

<I *still* think $60 DELL is quite improbable.>

May very well be that it will not hit $60, but I have never made a statement that it would never hit $100 before it hit $60 like some DELLHEADS are saying, about it will never hit $60! When people really start thinking that way that is a sure sign it will hit it!

<BTW, PRST *still* has a huge short interest, just like DELL. It will be interesting to see how shorts cover these...>

There have been studies done on large short positions in companies where the short sellers turned out to be right more often than not! I do not consider DELL's short postion that large though considering their number of shares outstanding and the volume that it trades on a daily basis! Haven't followed PRST in a while so I'm not sure what their short poistion looks like compared to their total outstanding shares!
