Remember, Elton Brand was amnestied -gone- adding cap room, and they already signed guard Nick Young. Lou Williams went to Atlanta as a free agent. I like Lavoy Allen, and he looks to be starting forward this season with Thaddeus Young? Don't see a need to deal Hawes, he's not bad when he's healthy and who backs up Bynum? The Sixers also signed Kwame Brown but that's not a fair swap for Hawes, imo. Iguodala is a top notch player that does most things well, the issue was he alone couldn't take the Sixers to the next level and considering the moving pieces of a roster under salary cap, his contract was more of a hindrance than help. Evan Turner is a wild card in all of this imo. Can he step up his overall game without being a ball hog? He has potential. You make a good point about Bynum, didn't know or forgot he was drafted out of high school. Vucevic I agree but cannot get a Bynum type for free. This roster list looks correct to me for real time but not 100% sure: espn.go.com

Not a huge hoops fan but started following Sixers again in the past shortened season. They went on an early season run due to weak schedule nevertheless were fun to watch and more inspiring than they had been in years! A good part of that is credited to Doug Collins and also the team seemed to gel on some level. Wish Sixers had beaten Boston in game 7 this year. All roads in the east still lead to and leave through Miami.

Went to my first Sixers game in years in early March against the Warriors. It was the 50th anniversary of Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point game in Hershey. The tchotchke was a piece of the floor that game was played on (which apparently was removed after the game), and pasted to a printed cardboard. Don't have a pic handy but should be on google images or an ebay search. Thought it was pretty neat.
