You seem to be conflating private equity with venture capital. They are NOT the same thing. I ask you again, where do VC's get their funding if not from the private sector? There is nothing wrong with private equity. Do you believe that the current ownership of every corporation is optimal and should never be changed? Shouldn't incompetent managers be replaced? Private equity only invests in businesses where it believes that it has a good chance of profit. They aren't always successful, but their record is a lot better than govt's.
