While I hope it's a big hit but the CoreBuilder 9000 won't be shipping for like 5 months (April I believe) so it's too early to really get a handle on its success at the moment. A more interesting question is whether anyone out there knows someone who actually got their hands on a 3500. It was supposed to ship sometime this month but I haven't heard of any sightings in the real world yet. There used to be a 3Com VAR that would post on this thread, maybe he would know. Any info on this would be appreiciated. If it's shipping it might provide a little revenue pop (obviously not enoughto offset slow modem sales but hey, I'll take it) since initially there will be pent-up demand for this new generation switch. Also is the Gigabit Module for it shipping? I can't find specific info on the 3Com web page.
