So, the money manager bought the shares in the open market and fights with the management to buy shares so that he can sell his to make a quick profit! It is insane, IMHO. Mounting a proxy fight is fine if the current management is inefficient because bringing in new efficient management will unlock the value of a company. But, a proxy fight to force management to buyback shares using cash that the management may use for more efficient purposes is insane, IMHO.
