That is splitting hairs.

Our Democracy allows for any type of Republic we want. We get exactly what we deserve. If we vote in bad people and bad policy it is our fault.

Our democracy allows us to vote in any type of government you want; to even change the constituiton.

You are howling at the moon.

<<The US is not a democracy in that sense, it is a representative republic. We have agreed to allow our representatives to vote THEIR conscience and accept that as the law of the land. Do you disagree with that form of government?

democracy or republic.. love those games.. in any event... it's not the people in my experience..

whether US congress or Canadian parliament..
