Well, in the political landscape, where I am considered fairly left (even though I don't really think I am) someone like Koan I would consider far left. The scale may not be perfect- but there is a relativistic scale here. I think Dale, Cogito and I are somewhere toward the center left (please excuse me for leaving out anyone) , Steve is further to the right than we are, as is Sir K, then I see John as further left, and then- many of the rest of the posters here- and to avoid insult, I'm not even going to TRY to figure out where you would come out on a number line. I'm just going to say, you are further left that the triumvirate of centrist lefties I mentioned.

If "far left" is defined as being a communist, then there really are not many- at least not as communists are really defined.

Of course if the wingnuts are doing the definitions we are all communists over here- even capitalist pigs like me and Dale (that's a joke- i am NOT calling Dale a capitalist pig. I feel I need to put a million gggs on this)

"far left" doesn't even EXIST in America.

...and it appears as though there is a concensus building that common sense is to be considered "left"

all the better to marginalize critical thinking and clear turf for reactionary ideas to move to the center
