“When you sit in a body like mine as an African-American woman, you know that God and nature have in fact made us — inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” she continued. “But we could not have them until there was a Civil War that allowed the federal government to impose those nature and God-given rights would actually be respected by our government. And I think that they cannot continue to go down this line on the Declaration of Independence.” Good lord woman!!! Get over it!

Harris-Perry has the microphone and this will only be the first volley against others in a position as a 'wealthy woman' of the media.. Wat does she get paid to be spewing her hatred in the media. Americans fought the British, the French, the Spanish and Indians and each other to form the democracy as frail as it sometimes seems so that all of us might live in a nation that does not stone women and bury them as Saddam Hussein did in Iraq. Yes, get over it Harris-Perry-------and thank men with a vision like Jackson, Lincoln,,Washington and others who made it possible to form this nation. No point in spending more time on giving her attention. She needs to grow up------this is 2012.
