Kevin: Re: SAP difficulties

Those who say they can fix their Y2K problems by going to SAP integrated applications are correct.

Just don't expect a smooth conversion.

Or, an on-time conversion.

And don't expect the resultant highly customized application to resemble anything that their end users are used to seeing.

Other than those minor issues .... SAP doesn't present a problem.

I never said it was easy, I am in this business and am well aware of
the problems. I used SAP only as an example, I have no Idea if there
stock is overvalued, I suspect that it would be though.

Good post, Kevin. My sister works for a very LARGE semiconductor
manufacturer and was instrumental in getting two divisions working
under a new SAP system. Two and one half years later.... These
companies that are planning on system replacements for legacy
systems, I hope they started a long time ago. Starting now, I would
wish them lots of luck.
