Never quite understood them myself. Maybe I should do some reading about them. I did attended PnF classes way back under A.W. Cohen if you know who he was, It would like learning the bolli,s from Bollinger himself. Back in the late fifties and most of the sixties they the PnF charts worked very well all during that great bull market. Back then I guess anything worked, in that market. Just buy anything and make money. You must have been short the TBT or Long the TLT! Or both.
