Labor, Government and Owners of Capital. Gold is capital. As such it must be employed to provide a return.

That return it will be shared between the gold's owner, labor and government. That will be done by:
Selling that gold in exchange for money that is what people employ capital.

Every time someone buys gold, the seller is preferring money instead of gold. That seller uses the proceeds to buy something else.

Kind of amusing after he made so much money shorting the insurers because they actually believed the ratings of the MBS crap that the Ratings Agencies said were AAA..

I'm actually long MBIA (MBI) at the moment, given their "special situation" of anticipating a $3 Billion+ settlement from BAC over Countrywide's fraudulent mortgages.

But what I wonder about Paulson is what form of non-publicly listed investments he's holding.. (CDS.. etc).
