No support from the index funds at present. They all sold Xoma about a yr ago as it fell below the Russell 2000 cap limit. It is very close if still not below the limit but on a day to day basis could move higher. Xoma is held by 16 "institutions" according to the IBD but I only know te names of 2 of the funds. Both are the Murphy New world Montery Funds. Need to check if they have grown in size due to good recent performance.

Was down to 12 institutions. Don't know basis for IDB count nor what date it reflects but they carry the figure weekly.

I do not think XOMA is presenting at Robinson Stevens or they would have probably sai something by now. Murphy has not said anything thus far but he might. Conference will be here so soon not worth effort to find out if Xoma will present.

George & Company,

Last year I made a post (4923) regarding Fidelity Magellan Fund. What can I say, yesterday I was stunned to discover that this fund has added Xoma to its monstrous list of holdings!

personal12.fidelity.com

Use your Adobe Acrobat reader to look at the Magellan Annual Report, dated March 1998. Go to page 17. Xoma, Inc. 3,030 shares.

This is an extremely small holding. If Magellan was going to invest in our company, you'd think they'd at least put in a million bucks. I'll assume this is just a start, and that they'll continue to add to their position in whatever manner they choose (a scheme that accumulates shares without propelling the stock price too much).

While I was at the Fidelity site, I also looked at their Fidelity Select Biotechnology portfolio. No Xoma.

Ed.
