Mind you, these companies could be discussing the price of rice in China. There's certainly no guarantee they've broached the subject of whaddayayawant. . . . ???? As I see it, anyone who thinks there might be another offer will hold as long as possible. And anyone who wants a '98 close won't tender at all, but wait for the second phase in the hope TI will have to use the "long form" which requires a vote of Amati shareholders. I'm with you in wondering how many shares TXN will get by Dec. 23. Certainly none of mine. :) Cheers! Pat
