Koan, what you originally wrote was - NBC just reported outside money (billionaires mostly) $205 million to Romney and $33 million to Obama. Notice the word "to" -- that is what makes what you wrote misleading. Ok, as for your data --- Here is what your own link shows -- 2012 AD SPENDING Team Romney: $273 million Team Obama: $239 million Total: $512 million Big deal. The spending is similar in 2012 while in 2008, Obama outspent McCain by a wide margin.
