Having reread the G&M RoB article, I'm not sure if my last post is fair to Barrick. Possibly the error in estimating the gold at Pierina was due to Aeroquipa itself. Anyway, it's an interesting article, and I thought that CMS' expressed optimism for the future of PFG might have raised the share price a bit. At the end of the day it didn't seemed to have made any difference. After reading the article, I was left wondering if Mrs. McLeod-Seltzer may have a better idea of the amount of gold at Diablillos than we out here do. Her optimism suggested to me that she may know there's more than 400,000 ounces at Diablillos.

Hi Phil, good point, they would not be keeping the present share price down, that is due to the shell-shocked market. However when and if they do make an offer, depending on the clause in the contract, either CMS and Co. or and indepent assayer, will be on site, you can bet on that. I was told they will also have complete hole information and obviosely full scale maps to pinpoint and estimate with great precision, the size of the proven mineralization and the information to make an educated guess on the probable reserves as well, some of this could be through sparatic drilling.

You definatley do not want to be on the wrong side of this stock, when talk of offers and buyouts flow through the investment community, as by that time you will be paying a very hefty premium for it.

It is easy to tell when this buying is coming in, just as it was easy to see in the early summer when the firms were selling, which I had warned of on this forum.

Hopefully we will go into 98 with a bang on this one!
