I'm sorry to be a little obsessive about this, but the MF Global thing has been bugging me all day. With everybody but Jon it's "Ignorance of the law is no defense". INTENT? He didn't intend to co-mingle those funds? A completely illegal act, a huge no way, no how, not ever? He was leaning against the desk and inadvertently hit the wrong button with his sleeve? It's been a long time since I was Catholic, but isn't intent a factor in determining mortal sin versus venal sin? Something like that. And we run a bunch of poor slobs around who smoked a joint (gasp), charging them for their visits to the probation officer and whatnot, virtually guaranteeing they fail the BS drug court scam. Suck those dumb suckers dry and then put 'em away, your taxes at work. Jon's thinking of starting a hedge fund, or so I read this morning. You go girl. ARS
