So basically the crescendo of reported drug violence was the buy signal.. Wife's cousin's wife (phew... catching my breath) has lots of family in Mexico city.. They are often there..both are geologists.. They don't seem to have felt a need to migrate threst of the family up here.. not yet anyway.. although he has many stories of close calls.. but just as many for LA :O) Fellow on another thread I frequent recently bought a condo in Mexico.. He seems pleased :o)..
