I'm kind of surprised Obama even knew what he had said. By now, I think he delivers most of his speeches on autopilot. A good touch typist can type a passage without reading it. I think it's the same for Obama when telepromptering. Obama is intelligent, but he has a very specific kind of intelligence. I think of it as a con man's intelligence; it's devoted to charm and getting one over on the other guy, and to political tactics. It's certainly not logical. He can't go three paragraphs without some non sequitur. It's beyond me how he got through law school.
