I believe most great musicians are clueless when it comes to politics and are devoid of rational thought when it comes to matters of economics, yes. I've know a pretty large number of excellent musicians in my life and seldom have I encountered one who understands the difference between a billion and a trillion or what it means to leave our kids with trillions of dollars in debt.

They're pretty much like you in that regard.
