"On August 19, 78 years ago today, 95 percent of Germany voted for a paper hanger/failed artist to lead the German Nation..."

"A religious census taken in 1925 revealed that of an overall German population of 65 million, 40 million belonged to the main Protestant (Evangelical Lutheran) church, 21 million to the Roman Catholic church, and 620,000 to various smaller, mostly Protestant denominations"

Do the math... :-(

Paper hanger/artist & paper doll cutter who from his methamphetamine incensed visions with accompanying populist mythology able to elicit & charge en masse the "listeners adrenal response" seducing them hypnotically with huge overdoses of nationalism's heavenly ordered glories . There are drugs & there are drugs , as Dali a true artist once said " i do not take drugs ,i am drugs" . People look outside themselves to explain driven events but what gave him so much power to weave that spell was the appeal to internal wounded & offended emotions, supply the solution of racial exclusion & the potent elixor of nationalism's "One Unity" found also in religion's attempts to govern as well. Its Nature forming the basis underneath it all & human psychology ..

Those realities could also easily be made real by the latest industrial capabilities which formed the basis of the greatest human revolution of mechanization , exponential factory production and huge wealth creation in those beginnings of the 20th century . Following on the great expansions & terrific largesse created for raw materials of the colonial period of the 19th . The subjugation of whole peoples providing that cheap labor in the colonies or the immigrant workers by which capitalism thrived also created & saw the world enter a rapidly changing envirionment with literally insurrmountable pressures on the impoverished and a wealthy banking class inured to this mass suffering.

Always find it ironic that it was large Jewish bankers in England that helped in part finance the industrial base for creating the Luftwaffe etc , capitalism at work . We are still moving at that frantic pace ever since the dawning of the 20th century era of technology & mechanization, mass consumerism in the new phenmenon of the rise of the mega cities & "politics of populations" .

Its the beginning of the 20th century we really experience the madness of the industrial revolution which provides great benefit but at the expense of what human sanity, suffering & strife in reality . Populations are allowed to explode , all needs increase exponentially, which has been a tale of suffering that cannot even be relegated just to one specific event but regarded in the context of a monumental shifting from agricultural based societies shifting to industrial based population to the cities .

And of course the pressures of this changing landscape with rising populations , insanity follows and always new scapegoats sought . We still reel under the weight of that monumental change which has been successful in creating new apexes of tensions. A new theatre of the energy/ resource Turf Wars in the Pacific /Southeast Asia will fire up soon with the accompanying demands of rising populations & mega power of China threatening to consume all in the region . Along with the ongoing ME of course which the lid has been kept on only by spending trillions here in the last few decades , breaking the bank with sustaining only partial results that can barely be called stabilization . There are some very destabilizing conflicts to come that are already taking shape in the Pac Rim over resource rights in the Seas of China , a new Cold War we are now in quietly draining resources , with new huge implications .

The good news perhaps could be found on Wall St which has driven the market up these last few weeks on what Americans will spend just on back~to~school accessories, is now estimated to be a record $57BILLION surpassing the global arms sales for the first time. In previous discussions of Putin & mother Russia one remembers he must maintain that respectable 2nd plce to the US which occupies 30% of total sales to Russia's much needed influx 24% capitals .

( the last few yrs global arms sales have been tailing off , of some concern to Putin am sure ,
no aliens involved , its just us "people of earth" , no comic book theories are necessary )

AAPL has certainly been enjoying this $60Bil back to school rally
