The biggest reason the Fukushima plant went into meltdown is because the backup Generators were underground and the diesel tanks were right on the shoreline to facilitate refueling.

All the backup batteries worked to maintain coolant pumping. But then the batteries died.. and no auxiliary power was available.

STUPID!!! In fact, criminally negligent!!
