If Gore had planned it, there wouldn't have been a crash, either. And there doubly wouldn't have been a crash while he was running for president.

The dotcom boom was planned by Ayn Rand disciple Alan Greenspan, who later said, "Oops; the better nature of mankind is a myth", or something like that. I could say he crashed it to help Shrub, but I won't.

Never mind that for years Greenspan had had a bunch of regulators and congressmen all but coming after him with baseball bats trying to get him to see that "the self-interest of lending institutions" was no match for the greed of unscrupulous individuals
