as and when the california and rest of the states less perhaps 3-4 experiences distress in raising funds and the muni yields starts to rise, suspect we can count on the political union to exercise what euro authorities are having a hard time doing, namely massive intervention in favor of the periphery to suppress regional, state, municipal interest rates; else what is the political union for?

even in the case of euro zone i suspect the germans and the french shall step in, unless due to accident and genuine local revolt.

let us watch and brief on the coming drama.

for folks hoping against math to eventually earn a living-yield, a recommendation, recalculate, and use 0.5-0.75% for the 10-year, especially as the treasury starts to issue 30-40 years bonds at 1.5%, and the fed underwrites in size.
