"Also Romney's father. "

Another lie from Willard's imagination. Make it 2 lies; George and Willard.

God Bless George, who led elsewhere. However, while neither Willard, nor George, nor I marched with MLK, my rabbi flew across the country to do so, and his kids never had to make up the story.

In 1978, Mitt Romney would tell the Boston Globe that he and his father both marched with Martin Luther King. The problem is, Mitt Romney’s father, George Romney, the former governor of Michigan, never marched with Martin Luther King. Mitt Romney would concede that fact to the Boston Globe in 2007. The Boston Phoenix could find no record of Mitt’s father, George marching with Martin Luther King at all.

Did George Romney March With Martin Luther King? An image from the time shows George Romney marched in the civll rights demonstration at Grosse Pointe, a suburb of Detroit. Conflcting reports have said George Romney did or did not march with Dr. Martin Luther King in the rally.

The picture above, which comes from an June 1963 issue of the Chicago Tribune, seems to put the issue to bed. If Romney had marched with Dr. King it seems unlikely the paper would not have mentioned King's presence in the article.

Other articles obtained by BuzzFeed also show no mention of Romney marching with King, but do mention that Romney sent two representatives to participate in the demonstrations with King and read a proclamation from the Governor

<<You didn't march with them. Charleton Heston did though. So did Bill Buckley.>>

You have terrible sources of information. Bill buckley.

Q: Did he ever recant his opposition to the civil rights movement? —Chris

A: Yes, he did. He said it was a mistake for National Review not to have supported the civil rights legislation of 1964-65, and later supported a national holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whom he grew to admire a good deal, above all for combining spiritual and political values.
