The delay in the drilling is because of the drilling contractor. The tunnelling is a good idea but is expensive and takes time. Drilling is the best way. Results will be delayed.

In case you thought GIT had fallen off the face of the earth, it is now listed on Toronto, not on Alberta. That is a good sign, what with more exposure, etc. It last traded at $3.15 on Friday.
