Nick Foles is showing me more than McNabb did his first year(except McNabb could run better-his running was McNabb big plus when in his first 5 years)
His one mistake was with like 17 seconds to go in 1st half didn't see the defender racing across from the right side.
All are talking about his poise, poise well beyond the average QB rookie.
i wrote the the first game, we have seen our future QB.
He IS are #2 QB. period--he is clearly a future starting QB.
Philip Hunt was awesome, what a big up from the CFL.
We are so loaded for DL, who ever we cut will grabbed FAST by another team---the idea of carrying 9 is a stretch--and any of that 9 that cut will have his phone ringing that same day---but i see Cedric Thornton--i can't cut him---Brandon Graham are 31 pick in draft--can't cut him, i don't know--maybe they keep 9.
Kafka and Edwards will compete for #3.
Bryce Brown is all terrific potential--cripes he hasn't run in 2 years---he is JUST learning.
But i like Polk-a cannon ball---it's been a looooong time since Eagles have decision at RB decision.
Hopefully we can get Polk on practice--but both Brown and Polk could be grabbed fast if cut.
Malick as Brady's back-up looks good(he was a 3rd round pick in 2011)
We had two many roughing etc--penalties. But OL had what, just one holding penalty.
Bell or Dunlap?(or are we going do some rotation) so far they are holding up--they just are NOT Peters nor ever will be.
Both Fletcher Cox and Mychal Kendricks showed me a lot. Meco Ryan a big upgrade--all and all best front seven since Gang Green.Later Amigo, Max

Just followed via play by play ticker and box score so can't evaluate: from boxscore thougj i have a questio, one Frank Trotter(undrafted free agent) had a sack: Mike do you know if this Jeremiah's son or some sort of kin?
Am i right to think Brian Rolle is lock from making the team.
i hope Eagles can get Polk or Bryce Brown onto Practice squad--i like Brown huge potential and Polk's cannon ball style(Brown problem, he has NEVER in his life had to do pass protection blocking--i rather he was on practice squad but you must waive a player first, and someother team might grab him)
Eagles were playing a a seriously bad team, so no real comment--but think Kafka is headed to practice squad (7 players allowed for practice squad?)
Glad to see Brandon Graham had 1.5 sacks. Did you watch? Later, Max

From AP "In case Vick's injury lingers, Foles looked like a reliable replacement.Foles was intercepted on his second attempt, when he forced a deep throw into double coverage. However, Foles, who has passed injured Mike Kafka (broken hand) on the depth chart, bounced back while facing a first-team defense for the first time.

''For being a rookie he is so calm,'' Celek said. ''Any time you ever make a mistake, if you can come back and let that go, you're going to be fine in this league. We all make mistakes, it's how you respond from it. Nick has done a great job, not only throughout camp but through the first few games.''

In three games, Foles has completed 36 of 57 passes for 507 yards with six TDs and two interceptions." i hope i hppe--btw, 3rd round pick Russell Wilson by Seahawks the QB story of pre-season, he is on fire--checked to see when drafted in 3rd round--he was #12 pick in 3rd and Foles #26 in 3rd.

Mike i hope the new book Paterno will be a BESTSELLER, it supports him forcefully, states flatlly Paterno simply was not involved in cover-up. It attacks AD and PSU president and McQuery.
Paterno was a victim of the frenzied thirst for lynching---i learned a lot about LYNCH MOBS from "NOW" BrokenClock and ggersh.

As you probably know i swore never to post on stock threads again because of the people you think are O.K. went berserk with unrelenting vicious hate of Paterno. The fellow "NOW', was so blind with hate said he hoped they dug up Paterno's body and burned that body at the stake.

The only person i have banned on this thread is BrokenClock---he fully supported the likes of ggersh and "NOW"--i had thought these were good people!!!
If the world doesn't collapse soon i predict Joe Paterno will have his statue put in front of the PSU Library, where he contributed huge amounts of dollars via his money and those contributing to his fund for the library.(He never raised a cent from alumni to recruit a player, where at the scandal racked OSU and Southern Cal money shenigans were COMMON PRACTICE.
i guess you read he sobbed uncontrallabt for 2 days after he was fired, and he mos def died very fast from cancer as he had lost all desire to live.
Book documents that he and Sandusky HATED each other. And truth was Paterno fired Sandusky for spending too much time with his "Second Mile" and leaving little time to coach or recruit.
O yes even Freep, of the Freep Report, has said there was a wild overraction, he was just throwing a lot stuff, their was NO conclusions about Paterno--nothing proven.
All Paterno knew about the Shower bit was the Big White Wash McQuery told him (McQuery saying his report to Paterno was much less than he actually saw out of respect for Joe) .
In the end they got no conviction on shower routine as McQuery refused to say he saw "penetration"(Yeh McQuery, that was to protect your butt(he who stood a watched for over a minute and did NOTHING)

The Mid-East Colleges Accreditation board has actually threatened to make PSU a un-accredited school.
This one man, John Sandusky, evil beyond words---has literally brought down an entire University, with great help from a frenzied media who , in humanity's stupidity, probably started to believe "The Second Mile" was a branch of PSU!!!!!
PSU will likely be 0-10 this year--but they are listed as having no victories in the last 13 years anyway.

Eagles cut list: Kafka being one an(he lost to thew numbers game here are the others: Veteran defensive backs Joselio Hanson and O.J. Atogwe, former Pro Bowl punter Mat McBriar and defensive tackle Antonio Dixon were among 21 other players released.Hanson spent the last six seasons in Philadelphia and was the team's nickel cornerback. Atogwe signed as a free agent in the offseason, but couldn't crack the starting lineup at safety.

Wide receivers Chad Hall, Mardy Gilyard and Marvin McNutt and linebacker Keenan Clayton are other notables on the cut list.

Tight ends Brett Brackett and Chase Ford, defensive tackles Ollie Ogbu, Frank Trotter and Landon Cohen, fullback Emil Igwenagu, tackle D.J. Jones, linebackers Adrian Moten and Ryan Rau, defensive end Monte Taylor, safety Phillip Thomas and offensive linemen Steve Vallos and Brandon Washington also were released.

i think both Kafka and Antonio Dixon will be signed else where PRONTO.

i think also Hanson will be picked up by another team.

And about 5 will warrant the Eagles practice team if not signed elsewhere.Brackett/Frank Trotter/Igwenagu/Ryan Rau and Marty Gilyard.

Don't know about Chad Hall/Clayton and McNutt. Max

i am glas they kept BOTH Bryce Brown and Chris Polk)Bryce knows what he must do, iss learn blocking, something he was NEVER asked to do--being virtually a nonplayer for almost 3 years--he is being kept on Raw Potential this once ranked #1 HS running back with strange college career-flukey circumstances, nothing wrong with kid as a problem or having any notable injury--but he is really needs experience. Chris Polk is well ahead of Bryce Brown in terms of experience having been a "work horse" in on a Pac-10 team. Max
