China's economy is a continental economy, unlike that of the USA economy which is closer in form to an imperial economy. Continental economies only need to take care of own biz. Imperial economies must stretch to mind all other's biz. As and when china can unhook from other economies, china may, and should it do so, it's currency value becomes irrelevant.

Alternatively, should china develop along the lines of Japan (I have no particular reason to believe china governing authorities would choose to but for its biz class' own ambitions) and develop the export biz by way of out-sourcing to other nations and 'in-sourcing' to poor inland provinces, then the value if trade currency would again be irrelevant.
