Do you even listen to the videos you post? The COMPLETE text of what Romney said is that he would be delighted to sign such a bill if THERE WAS A CONSENSUS SUPPORTING IT IN THIS COUNTRY BUT THAT'S NOT WHERE WE ARE. He also said that he would support overturning Roe v. Wade and RETURNING THE AUTHORITY TO THE STATES. You don't perceive any difference? I do. The debate about abortion and the means to pay for it are ongoing, and Roe vs. Wade did not end it but ensured that it would continue. Daily Kos's view is just as absolutist as Akin's.

BTW, the "forcible rape" bill was not "medieval" : in medieval times abortion was (generally) legal but of course dangerous due to the methods used. And we also know a lot more now about the development of the human fetus beyond the "quickening".
