There are a bunch of different angles to this discussion. I personally believe that the US has entangled itself militarily in many places that it doesn't belong. Iraq certainly did make threats to the US and Iraq claimed to have WMDs and there was some evidence to that effect (and certainly plenty of time for any WMDs to be moved to places like....Syria). National defense is definitely in the domain of the federal government. I agree with you that there is a question as to whether or not this was legitimate national defense.

Paying for abortions is definitely not something that would be covered in the US constitution as a power that was granted to the federal government.

Then you must really be pissed off at Obama for expanding the war effort in Afghanistan and sending more troops, more ammunition and costing billions more. On top of that he began a war in Libya we had no business being involved with and tossed a few billion dollars worth of bombs at people.

What a warmongering the hard left is! We should be seeing ANWR marches any day now....
