but if McCain hadn't chosen Palin I believe he would have at least have had a shot at winning.
No he got more votes because of her. If he had not had her do interviews with a very liberal press then he would have won. She was not yet setting her eyes out for anything past state elections. She had not yet studied foriegn affairs and it showed. But even then she would have faired well if she sat down with a conservative reporter.
