Elmer, as I stated earlier. The chip is designed to run at 3.2 volts and would never run at the low end of the t2p4 board (2.5 - 2.88 volts) the board also has a 3.3 to 3.45 range. If it's running at 3.3 volts or better (above the design) then how could it run cooler. As I stated earlier the board is not certified by Asus for an AMD K6 233 nor is the board certified by AMD for a K6 233. It would appear that the first step in fixing the overheating problem would be to put the processor in an appropriate motherboard.
