Others may view the world differently, and I respect that.

You will find no respect for your POV here. Many of us consider your position to be that you are going to vote for a Muslim Communist.

You became a Democrat because a Republican president reminded you of a Democrat president you consider a war criminal? With all due respect, that makes no sense.

Nor is it an outline of the Democrat party "strengths" that you referred to. If you think the Democrat party has strengths, please post them. It's a simple request.

Most of the regulars here lean heavily right. I believe that's because of familiarity with a lot of literature examining history in such a way that leads to certain conclusions; i.e., that a federal government with specific and enumerated powers, much like the founding principles, leads best to human happiness.

My impression of Democrats is that they are guided by feelings and moral intuitions, unaware that there are unrecognized constraints to their vision that will lead to stagnation or worse.

Conservatives and libertarians have serious books. Democrats don't.

Stick around and you may learn why some here were not fond of either Bush.
