smithee emailed him his thoughts on the subject and i followed suit, per smithee:

Governor Huckabee -

Your support for Rep. Aiken following his reprehensible remarks is disappointing in the extreme. We are in a battle for the country, and control of the Senate is essential to winning that battle. Rep. Aiken, with his idiotic remarks, has given the Democrats ammunition to sling at all Republicans. They will do their level best to change the dialogue from the economy and Obama's failed policies to portraying the Republicans as the ones who want to limit a woman's right to an abortion. More is at stake here than one man's political career, and your support of him undermines the effort to retake the Senate.

I accidentally turned my TV to CBS this morning. The talking heads were actually speaking positively about the Republicans who were calling for Akin to step aside

(ps - I have been advised I was spelling his name wrong, so I have corrected my ways).
