I think that Smoothsail was trying to say that Akin is an idiot because he believes that a woman can't get pregnant if she is forcibly (legitimately) raped. It was a stupid thing to say and there is no scientific evidence to support his view. Smoothsail gave anecdotal evidence to the effect that Akin is wrong. And it is well documented in this particular case. I know a woman who was kidnapped by three men and raped over a five day period. She was left for dead by the side of the road. And she too got pregnant. I'm sure she would have asked for medical attention too if she wasn't in captivity and later laying by the side of the road. I'm also pretty sure that it is hard to argue other than she was forcibly raped and got pregnant. More anecdotal evidence. Further, how about Akin and rest of the religious right politicians just STFU until we get Obama out of office. To Todd Akin "why don't you jump on the team and come on in for the big win" We need the MOR dems and independents on our side. Why make Romney's job more difficult by saying stupid crap that is going to be painted on his forehead throughout the campaign cycle?
