I think it was a highly-desirable outcome. I wish that all such encounters ended like that. In fact, I would call it a perfect outcome, except for the fact that officers will like be raked over the coals now, which is extremely unfortunate and unjust.

Look at what happened, Gersh. The thug had a "run-in" with a convenience store clerk, he was wielding a knife, making threatening gestures, and disobeying lawful orders from the police officers who directed him to put down his weapon. Instead, he refused, taunted the police, and appeared to reach for something in his pocket, possibly a loaded gun. The officers took the right course of action and prevented additional innocent people from being hurt or killed. The officers' commendable actions should be lauded and they should be rewarded for a job well done.

The number one lesson in life is not to make threats to the police. The police will always win. One must follow their instructions, otherwise one ends up dead. The shooting was indeed a good outcome in the case and now we have one less deadly menace to society. Good riddance. -ng-
