Well, that is better. But not everyone has their good fortune. Many, if not most, gays still have to endure tremendous cruelty, especially the young. Because their parents don't teach their kids to respect gays!

Need I remind you very few states still allow gay marriage. That is very hurtful to the gay community.

And the Republican platform officially is against gay marraige. Another instance of grossly insensitive behavior by the Republican's.

He was positive that our friendship would be over.....my response....ho hum <yawn> I had figured it out a couple of years before. He was also terrified that his catholic parents would reject him.....not even close. They embraced him. They embraced his boyfriend as well (they have been together for 20 years). I don't deny that he was terrified and stressed out about revealing that he was gay, I saw it first hand. But it was his own internal demons that were tormenting him, not his friends and family.
