Mary,

I've been enjoying your posts for the last few days.

You've pointed out some cogent items.

By the way, it's spelled tryptophan. It's one of the essential amino acids and serves to make you sleepy but not wiser.

And what were IBM's mainframe sales last year?

Barry

Great New Years resolution

Do you think you can get Paul Engel to take the vow.

He could start by apologizing for spreading misinformation about my stock portfolio, or do you see that as acceptable conduct on a forum for information to help investors?

I'm glad to see that you understand there is plenty of room to argue your point of view without resorting to slander, misrepresentation, and ego gratification.

Mary:

I enjoy reading your common-sense posts. Your ref. to Tryptophan reminded me of a note that I dropped on Stonehenge, saying that it is not uncommon to become droopy upon eating turkey. Here is the link.

Hello Stonehenge:

When I went to Stonehenge a few months ago, I was reminded of you and therefore I picked up a few more pamphlets, thinking that one day I may send them to you. Coming to Thanksgiving celebrations, if you feel sleepy after a turkey dinner, it is quite natural. Turkey has tons of an amino acid known as TRYPTOPHAN, which gets converted to serotonin and melatonin. That MELATONIN is the one that makes you sleepy.

Here is the link. This link is for information only on the biological activities of Tryptophan. It should not be taken as an endorsement or recommendation of any product, firm or person.

Have a nice Thanksgiving.

Pssssstt! (If anyone out there is interested in talking about Intel as an investment and how the stock might fare this coming week, consider that CSCO matched its all time high last week, and MSFT is moving!)

For the rest of you turkeys:
