It would be nice if the Justices were elected by the people as well, instead of appointed by the Prez and voted in by Congress. As far as the Fed, I want it's mandate limited to monetary stability, instead of the dual mandate that includes unemployment. I want it to be made illegal for the Fed to purchase US Treasuries, so that rates can float freely on the open market. That alone will force Congress to act responsibly and bring the debt and deficits down. Nothing like the power of market forces to enforce discipline. And yes, I want Bernanke gone. He a monetary profligate, which is straight and simple theft from the 99%, and he needs to be fired.
