I think the MUEI effects are gone, especially since DELL earnings were quite strong ... and DELL with CPQ is the industry leader now. It seems the market can pick any of a number of factors to move in a direction it wants to go. With the problems in S. Korea, it is understandable that many people want to run for the hills. Hopefully, that news will pass for the time being and let the US stock market trade on some fundamentals for a brief spell. It's annoying to find a stock with great fundamentals and then see it trade totally based on general market sentiment and momentum players.

RE: Earning estimates, I'd be a little more cautious with the optimism. QNTM is certainly doing well with DLT. Maybe I'm just paying attention more now, but I'm seeing DLT ads in a lot of places from different manufacturers. PC Mall style mail order places are selling the media. But their disk drive business has got to be hurting from all the WDC/SEG/etc news. I think its amazing that they didn't guide estimates down about a dime but I think such a shortfall (at least) is already built into this stock. Aside from the one-time charge, I would think QNTM would probably be a dime or less under current estimates which (in my book) is still an awesome quarter in the face of the big shakedown.

Hopefully tax-selling ran its course yesterday and we'll see a continuation of those big block buys on Monday. But of course the general market needs to be nice to us. I understand you are an active participant on the "Ask Mohan about the Markets." What is your take on general market conditions?
