Look Steve Read the thread intro. If you think you fit here, post. If not, don't. If you sound like a wingnut I'll ban you. If you don't, I won't. This isn't rocket science. Most people know where they are on the political spectrum- at least the people on SI. You figure it out. And no, I neither have the time nor interest to discuss what "center" is. I know wingnuts when I see them, and I ban them. That's it. You can discuss it with someone else, but I'm not going to pay attention. No interest. Sorry. And sure. We are all Americans. Even Klan members are Americans- that doesn't mean I want to talk to them, or read their opinions. I just don't give a crap what they are. There are plenty of threads on SI where you can "discuss" things with rightwingers. Avail yourself of those threads. IMO they are unpleasant cesspools of denigration and conflict. But it takes all kinds- or at least there are all kinds.

Steve, you aren't to "the right of Romney" because you believe in balanced budgets. He doesn't believe in small govt, he believes in virtually no govt if he endorses Ryan's Plan. Of course, it is always hard to say what Romney believes, since he has claimed to believe all sorts of contradictory things over the years. The guy is a "shape-shifter" when it comes to political opinions, he will claim to believe whatever he things will get him elected.
